Russian conception of environmental law: the current state and prospects

The article examines the history of the formation and the current state of the Russian concept of environmental law. The author uses socio-cultural method for the determination of the ideas and principles of environmental law. The conclusion about the need of improvement of the concept of environmental law, and the need for legal education for the formation of environmental legal culture is made.
